After the heady growth in
FY10, revenues nearly plateaued for Apara in FY11. While services
contributed 60% of the revenue generated, information management and
security generated about 10%. Apart from this, the company also
focused on niche verticals like storage consolidation, backup,
disaster recovery, virtualization, high-performance routing and
switching, content delivery network, bandwidth optimization, and
security to a great extent.
The company bagged deals
across different industry segments which included banking and
finance, telecom, service providers, ITeS/BPO, software, energy, and
manufacturing. The company worked on bigger projects with Ericsson
and ICICI, ABN AMRO Bank, Kotak Mahindra, Reliance Infocom,
Accenture, Citibank, and Yahoo! India amongst others. Apara also
bagged smaller deals in BFSI and FMCG domain adding 45 new clients in
return.
The company also expanded
its domain in the second half of FY11 when it started doing business
with HP and added 15 new clients for HP solutions. It also partnered
with Expand Networks for WAN solutions. Meanwhile, 90% of its
customers were repeated through which Apara garnered 80-85% of its
revenue.
