History/Journey of the Association

Rajasthan Computer Trader’s Association(RCTA) was established in the year 2002. It was formed with a strength of 200+ members. It was officially got registered in the year 2009. Currently, it consists of 365+ lifetime members. RCTA stands among the top three associations, in terms of the strength of members. 

The idea behind forming the association is to help members to solve disputes between members and the vendors. Forming a mutual path among the members and the vendors. 

Association regularly Organizes meetings and get-togethers for the members; Helping them in resolving problems they face in their business and increasing the involvement of the members in the community. The idea was to address the issues faced by members and provide solutions.

Association activities in the last 6 months

1. Organized a blood donation camp, where a large number of members participated with enthusiasm.
2. The association joined hands and helped a member with his Kidney transplant. They contributed 3 Lacs in total for this cause.
3. Started the year with a Badminton Tournament
4. Organized a Cricket tournament sponsored by D-link.
5. RCTA organizes trips for the families of the members in a regular intervals of time.

How is the market performing in the last 6 months?

For the last 2-3 months market is facing a downfall. Overall, demand for the IT peripheral is stagnant but supply is abundant. As a result, prices are reduced which leads to less profit for the channel partners.

What are the primary business verticals for this market?

Hardware peripherals such as laptops, desktops, printers, and accessories. Software-related services are also booming in the market.

What are the different challenges/ issues with the vendors or customers?

At the start vendors used to face issues related to GST and taxes. But, gradually association helped the members hold the grip of these taxes and provided training for the same. 

Which are the top-selling services/products?

Networking products, specialized products, interactive boards for classroom education, and software for the smooth operation of smart classes. 

What are the different business verticals in your city?

Textiles, tourism, automobiles, consumer goods, and information technology are some of the major business verticals in Rajasthan.

Number of active members in the association and their top principles

More than 365+ active members. Certain rules and regulations are deployed for the partners to join the association. For instance, they should have the ITR of the previous two financial years and should have references from two active members of the association, and a member should not be a defaulter in the past. 

How many cloud partners are in your association as members?

 20 to 25 partners are currently working in the cloud computing domain.
