Transcend releases multi-function USB2.0 TV-Box

Transcend’s TV-Box is an external device with a USB2.0 connection. With a
built-in TV tuner module and video decoder, it is a compact, portable,
all-in-one TV reception and video capture device. It can be used to watch TV,
capture full motion video or still-frame images or and have a video conference
from a desktop or laptop.

Via the USB 2.0 connection, the TV-Box is able to display video at near-DVD
quality. In addition to the superb hardware features, the bundled software
allows TV and digital video recording, pre-scheduled TV recording, time shifting
playback, DVD video file recording as well as video cut and merge.

The product has a full-screen video resolution input of up to 720x480 at 30
fps for NTSC and 720x576 at 25 fps for PAL. Its multi-input connections allow
S-Video input, composite video input, stereo audio in, and TV RF input.

The TV-Box requires a desktop or laptop with USB1.1 or USB2.0 interface, CPU
PIII 800MHz for viewing, PIII 1GHz for VCD recording, P4 1.7GHz for DVD
recording with a system memory of 128MB or above.
