Sun Microsystems India has announced an extension of its partnership with Transversal E-networks with the signing of an OEM agreement. As per the agreement, Transversal E-networks, a web-based solutions provider for business organizations, research labs and academic institutions, would deploy the Sun Java Enterprise System
(JES) in current and future products of Transversal.
With this partnership, Transversal aims to provide its customers more value for the same transaction by offering its' customers wider solution footprint and lower 'Total cost of Ownership'
(TCO) besides overcoming the complexities of dealing with multiple vendors.
JES represents a paradigm shift in the way software is engineered, delivered, licensed, and priced and an approach that aligns IT investment with business priorities. It provides a core set of network services, including Web and application, availability, portal, communications and collaboration, network identity, and security services. It also includes consulting, installation, maintenance, support and training, which ensures a smooth transition and integration within the enterprise.
"We have had a fruitful association with Sun even in the past. We are confident that this step will play a key role in strengthening our product development division. The JES provides us with the flexibility we need to meet our business goals," said Transversal e Networks chief marketing officer Sabu
Pappachan.
