After Ahmedabad, Pune and Mumbai, TVSE launched the improved version of its
Proton printer in Hyderabad. NV Mahadevan, TVSE Product Manager, says,
“Considering that the total shipments of printers is two million of which,
only 2% is automated, the demand is huge. In Hyderabad, it is estimated to be
around 1,20,000 units a year."
The TVSE team believes that these printers, which
have been successfully launched in West India market, are likely to do well in
Hyderabad too. Ramesh, Branch Manager, TVSE, Hyderabad says, "We have
already sold a number of units here."
The company claims that Proton is the quickest
bill printer with a speed at 10 bills per minute making it 20% faster than its
nearest competitor. It features a stainless steel tear bar and replaceable
ink-bank with 10 m characters per ink-bank. It has a three-way paper path,
straight paper path and front-loading to prevent paper jams.
The printer's all-in-one design saves about 40%
of space and the cartridge moves on silicon self-lubricating brush, thus doing
away with the hassle of oiling. It is priced at Rs 7,995.
