The Bhubaneswar Police has arrested two people and recovered computer hardware accessories stolen by them. The police arrested Lingaraj Rout and his associate Subash Chandra Sethi for stealing computer hardware from the godown of Sai distributors.
Lingaraj was working as a peon at the godown. On March 26, 2004, his friend and he stole seven laptops, two CPUs and four printers. The value of the stolen items were about Rs 4.5
lakh, according to the police.
The owner of Sai's distributor, Abhishek Poddar had lodged a complaint at Sahid Nagar police station. The city police on March 27, 2005 recovered the stolen items from the house of a city resident and arrested both the accused, according to a police official.
