The newly formed Velocis Systems is positioned to deliver end-to-end IT
solutions beginning from cabling to collaboration in the market. In 2006-07, the
company's parent organizations had a turnover of Rs 100 crore, and this year the
newbie managed to touch revenue of Rs 124 crore. Rs 104 crore of this figure
comprised business from domestic market and the rest came from the company's
export business.
Velocis designed Augment solution for rapid automation in the healthcare
industry. Its precise measurement and reporting capabilities deliver process
manageability. GIT - Pacific BPO and R Systems BPO now manage their processes
using Augment BPM.
Velocis became a Microsoft Gold certified partner and also renewed its Silver
certification for Cisco last fiscal. It even claimed to have doubled its
software service revenue in 2007-08.
Amongst the key projects that the company deployed last fiscal, one was for a
defense organization valued around Rs 8 crore and another for Tata AIG worth Rs
6 crore. Velocis also executed a Rs 10 crore project for the Indian Railways. In
the year 2007-08, the company focused on strengthening its security practices
for clients, videoconferencing and NOC services.
The company has been harnessing 80 percent of its business from northern
region and rest from other regions. Velocis is now aiming to establish itself as
a turnkey solution provider and is planning to expand into other markets as
well.

The major verticals included enterprise and manufacturing, banking, finance
and insurance, IT-enabled services, education, media and entertainment,
government and defense, and hospitality. A few of its prominent clients are
Honda, Aviva, R Systems, Citi Financials, DMRC, Bharti, IBM Daksh, Airport
Authority of India, Tata AIG and Emaar MGF.
A team of around 500 employees now manages the company. It offers products,
solutions and services to its customers in IT infrastructure, messaging and
collaborations, business applications and IT managed services.
