vFortress launches security product suite

Application security product company vFortress has announced the release of its application security product suite, which was
100 percent developed out of its Bangalore R&D center. With this launch, the vMoksha Technologies
incubated company is eyeing the $4.4 billion application security market.

The new product range called SPAN or Clientless Seamless Private Application Network consists of SSL-VPN, enterprise
trusted gateway, authentication server, trusted device solution and video-conferencing bridge. 

According to the company, the products would help customers in getting remote access to company networks, enabling web
applications, consolidation and also getting remote wireless access. Announcing the launch, vFortress
founder and CEO Subash Warrier said, "SPAN helps customers to use their networked applications securely over the Internet without
reengineering. Our solution unifies IP Sec and SSL VPN."

He informed that the company is targeting total revenues of $1.3 million in the coming fiscal. "Of this, we hope to get $one million from the US market
and the rest from India," said Warrier. The products are aimed at large enterprises and SMBs
both globally and in India. While, the company would partner with OEMs to reach global markets, in India, the penetration
would be achieved through tie-ups with channel partners.

"According to IDC, the Indian security market is expected to touch Rs 481 crore this year. This is the right time for us to reach the Indian market,
"opined Warrier. 

The company currently has a team size of 45, which would be increased to 60 by the year-end. Warrier also informed that the
company would be setting up a second development center in Kochi soon, with the help of half a million
dollar investment from the Kerala Venture Fund sponsored by the Kerala government.
