Video Game lovers Can Win Over 60 Lakhs

The 2017 version of the e-sport tournament ESL India Premiership has been announced and  the prize pool money for winning the tournament is a little over INR 60 Lakhs.

Players can contest in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, DOTA 2 and Clash Royale. The tournament will kick start on 26th April 2017 and will go on until December 17th, 2017.

The tournament is divided into three tiers i.e. Master League, Challenger League and Starter Cup. The ESL India Premiership will be broadcasted and live streamed on Twitch, YouTube and other platforms.

These events are scheduled to take place in Delhi, Mumbai and Hyderabad. Being an open league, any gamer that thinks he or she is good enough to compete, can register for a spot.

The highlights of the 2017 Edition of the ESL India Premiership are listed below:

  • Prize pool $100,000 USD*
  • 3 Seasons – Summer, Fall and Winter
  • Tournament from 26th April 2017 to 17th December 2017
  • Season finales will take place in Mumbai, Hyderabad and Delhi
  • ESL India Premiership introduces a three-tiered structure. The top 2 tiers – Master and Challenger Leagues are closed leagues, whereas the Starter Cups act as open qualifiers
  • Participants in the Master league are eligible for both appearance and winning fees. Challenger league participants will only receive winning fees. There are no match fees for Starter Cup participants.
  • The top 3 competitive games such as CS: GO, DOTA 2 and Clash Royale to be played
  • Global brands such as OMEN by HP, HyperX, ZOWIE a brand by BenQ and Red Bull have partnered for the event
  • The ESL India Premiership is a free to play tournament and there is no entry fee for participating

The ESL India Premiership is currently one of the few gaming tournaments that have been successful in the country and the 2016 version got some great praise for their organisational skills and management.
