ViewWise 5.5 for simple document management

Total Outsource launched its Integrated Document Management/Image Enabling
Solution–ViewWise Enterprise Edition 5.5, created for SMEs.

ViewWise 5.5 IDM systems are designed to simplify the data management process
of all file formats and maximize productivity. It offers intuitive user
interfaces, immediate access to versions/revisions, new focused search interface
complemented by full text and distributed search, searchable document comments,
automatic email for sending documents to a predetermined address, consolidated
document listing, and document check-in/out for mobile computing.

ViewWise 5.5 marks the debut of Computhink’s AdminWise module, which
enhances the administrator´s overall control of document, system and support
utilities. With the addition of Stellent´s Outside In technology to ViewWise
5.5, client options now include viewing capabilities for 225 native file
formats, such as Microsoft Word and Excel documents, without the native
application being present.

DjVu, a new file format that compresses files to up to one-tenth of their
previous size, complements ViewWise 5.5. scanning and file conversion
capabilities. Users can digitally capture, save, email, and export large,
high-resolution documents in DjVu file format.

The solution is priced at $5,000 for a five-user license.
