Vivek Prakash joins Kobian

Ex Samsung India's VP and Head of IT Business, Vivek Prakash has joined Kobian Worldwide operations as Director (Sales & Marketing). He will also be concurrently the CEO of Kobian India operations. His role will include overseeing the management overhaul and new growth initiatives of the brand in the Indian context.

This announcement is part of Kobian Pte, Singapore´s (owner of the Mercury brand) announcement of a new management team that has come on board to lead the company's growth plans and market share aspirations in the Indian market. The management change is a precursor to a significant revamp of Mercury brand business direction and product portfolio in the months ahead.

The new management also includes the appointment of Sanjay Peer as the Country GM for the company´s PC components business. He will drive the growth for Mercury PC peripherals business. 

A new 'Lifestyle and Computing Biz Group' has also been set up in India. Aseem Kumar has joined this group as the Lead Product Manager. He will conceptualize and come up with computing and lifestyle products customized to the Indian market needs, from the existing global product portfolio of Kobian worldwide. The immediate priorities are cutting edge technology mobile computing products and desktop computing solutions.
