The two companies have entered into an agreement to jointly offer the AT&T branded services in India under the VSNL umbrella. Corporate customers in India can now access the MPLS-enabled AT&T Global Network through VSNL's existing access infrastructure. Both domestic and international Global Network nodes have been set up in Mumbai and Bangalore to facilitate this access, while a third one will be set up in New Delhi later this year.

The new global MPLS-enabled network and AT&T Enhanced VPN Services will reduce the need for companies to build independent networks and at the same time provide ongoing operational support for their own regional and global networks.

AT&T India Country GM Sanjiv Bhagat said, "We are very excited about extending the reach of the AT&T Enhanced VPN Services and other global managed networking services to our customers in India, and we are delighted to be working with VSNL"

VSNL Head - Corporate Business VS Shridhar said, "We are delighted to be working with AT&T to bring a new range of world-class networking services to businesses in India. India is an important global centre for software design and development, as well as for the IT-enabled Services industry."

AT&T Enhanced VPN Service is supported via AT&T's Integrated Global Enterprise Management System (iGEMS) management platform. By utilising iGEMS, AT&T evolves, designs, deploys and manages corporate IP VPN networks, with round the clock monitoring and web reporting on the status of the network and on the performance of business applications.
