Bangalore: WeP Peripherals has unveiled and patented 'Double conversion
isolated hi frequency boost' (DCB) technology. Unlike the prevailing single-PC
line interactive UPS that supports a single PC and provides a back up time of
about 15 minutes, or, the online UPS, the DCB UPS will provide the benefits of
the much costlier online technology UPS at a price which is close to the more
common line interactive UPS.
The DCB UPS is capable of supporting a PC and a small personal deskjet or
Impact printer, can provide upto 8 hours of back-up and takes up very little
space. Not only this, the back-up time is scalable and the consumer decides what
back-up would be suitable for him.
DCB will address the power needs of large and medium enterprises with a
branch network spanning semi-urban and rural areas. Banks, PSUs, government,
education, manufacturing and trading houses as well as SOHO and small businesses
can benefit from this new technology. According to Jayant Gundewar, Chief
Strategy Officer, WeP Peripherals, “This combination of a unique technology
that provides a scalable and extra long back-up time along with an affordable
price makes for an excellent UPS solution.”
