Why Is Paras Shah Smiling?

Paras Shah, Director of Mumbai-based distribution house Neoteric Infomatique,
has every reason to smile. He is the only IT products distributor who has
exclusively explored the prepress solutions business in India. And has tasted
the success which comes from having an almost monopoly in this niche segment.

Until recently, many players in the unorganized sector, who would import
products piecemeal and sell it to customers, addressed the prepress solution
market. The dearth of serious players providing complete end-to-end solutions
motivated Neoteric to explore this segment. Neoteric entered this market last
year after getting the distributorship for Xante products.

"We already had distributorship of products that were used in prepress
activities. Apple Mac desktops and Umax scanners were two key components. To
complete the package we added Xante printers. Very soon we will be officially
adding prepress software," says Uday Kendhe, Business Manager Prepress
Solutions, Neoteric Infomatique.
