Xerox launches new channel partner schemes

Xerox Modicorp has launched gift schemes for its channel partners and end-users on its range of color printers, faxes and multifunctional devices (MFDs). It has also launched its Phaser brand of Xerox printers, both in monochrome and color.

Talking about the Xerox marketing program/initiatives, Kuldeep Malhotra, GM, Xerox India, said that the past success of New Revolution - a monthly channel partner program launched by Xerox in January and February of 2003 has propelled it to launch new schemes for its partners. The products covered under the scheme included digital MFDs/personal laser printers/fax machines. The entry criteria for partners was just Rs 50,000 of revenue and the payout was 1%. The highest revenue slab was of Rs 1.76 lakh and the payout was 2.5 percent. Xerox had also started the No 1's challenge award for Q1, 2003 in which top four qualifiers in four categories would be awarded gifts worth Rs 10,000. The categories include overall total revenue, sale of digital MFDs, sale of fax machines and sale of personal laser printers.

Xerox has also started another marketing program called New Magic - WC PRO 312 Channel Partners Program for Q1 of 2003 in the MFD category. It is a unit-based payout scheme. 

Keeping the end-user in mind, Xerox has also launched the Xerox Dream Destination Offer. Every end consumer would get a holiday coupon on purchase of digital MFD WC pro - 412 & 312, which entitles them for a free accommodation of three days and two nights across 19 destinations in India and four in South East Asia. The coupon is packed in the box. The perceived value of the scheme is Rs 5,000 and the customer has to pay Rs 500 as registration fee.

In the printer category also Xerox has launched schemes for its partners and customers. In the Personal Laser category (PLP)- Phaser 3110, 3210 and 3310, Xerox has launched "Strike cash with Xerox" and on Monochrome network and color printers it has launched a scheme called "Scale new heights". The Xerox Dream destination offer for the consumers is also valid in this category.
