UK-based XOU Solutions, developer of networking monitoring software, would be
setting-up its 100% subsidiary - XOU Solutions India in September, which would
focus on R&D, sales and technical support. According to XOU Solutions
Chairman and CEO, Michael Keane, "Currently, we have an offshore
development model for carrying out R&D activities in India through Chennai-based
Altosys Software Technologies. We were the first to bring in an offshore R&D
model to India."
"Presently, there are around 17-odd people employed in the R&D
activities in Altosys and with the commencement of the XOU's new Indian entity,
there would
be smooth shift in transferring these 17 from Altosys to XOU," he informed
and added that by the end of December 2005, the company hopes to be a 25-member
R&D team.
With telecom players, other service providers, BPO companies and other
channels as its target customers, XOU, at present is based in London and would
soon be
moving its headquarters from London to Oxford. The company is also planning to
start sales and marketing offices in US, Netherlands, Hong Kong or Singapore,
Tokyo, before December 2006.
Further, Michael also informed that XOU India would be marketing the products
through appointed channel partners. The company has so far appointed five
partners in Chennai and would soon be appointing dozen more nationally within a
span of one year.
Started in 2001, XOU Solutions selected Altosys as its R&D Partner in
2002. Its products include Inventory Management, LAN Mapping, Network key,
Complete Asset Tool.
