Zenith Computers joined hands with Microsoft, Intel and Samsung to launch 'Multiply'
- an IT solution targeted at the Small and Medium Business (SMB) market. The
solutions comprise one Intel Pentium 4-based PC server, three Celeron D-based PC
nodes, pre-loaded software server and workstation packages from Microsoft, a
laser-based multi-function printer from Samsung, basic 10/100 hub and standard
length LAN cabling.
The entire package is priced at Rs 1.5 lakh with the networking software
having a support for up to 75-users. According to Raj Saraf, CMD, Zenith
Computers, the package is being offered at a special 'no-profit, no-loss'
price as a contribution by all the companies to the SMB segment.
"Although SMB in India is the largest sector, it has been largely
untapped by IT companies due to the complexity of the market," said Raj. To
understand this market, separate research was carried out by Intel, Microsoft
and Zenith, and the insights arrived at, shows that SMBs in India are looking
for IT solution which is rapid and cost effective, promises high return on
investment, provides excellent support, and has ease of integration.
"Multiply is an IT solution that is a plug-and-play set-up offering a
combination of world class products from the leading IT companies. So except for
the space, furniture, telephone and internet connection, it offers all that is
required to start-up or expand the existing IT set up," said Raj.

Along with the launch of Multiply, Zenith also introduced the 'Zenith
Business Partner' program for PC assemblers selling in non-home segments like
schools, hospitals to partner with Zenith for a win-win association. This
program is also for GID assemblers who have a sales turnover of 100 boxes a
year. It believes that being a business partner will enable the assembler to add
value to their customers and increase their computer sales. Zenith will provide
all the necessary support to increase assembler business.
Furthermore, a Zenith business partner will be able to provide their
customers the Zenith cost advantage along with round-the-clock support and
credibility of the 'Zenith' brand.
Raj said, "With this program, we encourage assemblers and local players
to work with us to provide the latest products. We will provide the training and
support, so they can leverage their reach better." Zenith business partners
will be given incentives and perks as per sales deals.
