Zenith Computers Ltd is all set to enhance its retail reach by adding another
hundred outlets in the current financial year. This addition will take the total
number of Zenith retail outlets to 230.
Raj Saraf, CMD, Zenith Computers Ltd, announced this at the annual dealers’
meet held at Goa recently. Says Raj, "Zenith will now make its presence
felt in smallest of Indian cities with these outlets. Most of these outlets will
be opened in cities where we don’t have one at the moment."
These retail outlets like the previous ones will follow a franchisee model.
Raj is expecting a 50 percent growth in unit sales for Zenith in the present
fiscal.
At the dealer meet which was attended by nearly 750 Zenith dealers all across
the country, the company also launched a slew of new products. These included a
range of notebooks and servers.
Zenith also launched what it termed as ‘Portable desktop’. Priced at Rs
60,000, this desktop looks like a notebook but works only on mains supply or car
battery. Raj also mentioned that the company will put an emphasis on increasing
penetration in the education sector.
Zenith Infotech Ltd, which is a sister concern of Zenith Computers too
announced its initiatives to offer software solutions to co-operative banking
segment.
