Zeta launches Plextor external DVD burner

Zeta Technologies, the exclusive distributor of Plextor in India, has launched PX-708UF, a DVD R/RW CD-R/RW 8-in-1 external IEEE 1394 and hi-speed USB drive that offers all the advantages of Plextor DVDRW drives (8X DVD+R, 4X DVD-R, 4X DVD+RW, 2X DVD-RW, 12X DVD-ROM, 40X CD-R, 24X CD-RW and 40X CD-ROM) along with dual format capabilities.

The Plextor PX-708UF delivers 8X DVD+R write, 4X DVD-R write, 4X DVD+RW rewrite, 2X DVD-RW rewrite, and 12X DVD-ROM read. In addition to recording, rewriting and reading DVD discs in dual formats, the PX-708UF supports 40X CD-R write, 24X CD-RW rewrite and 40X CD-ROM read speeds.

The DVD burner can connect either to IEEE 1394 (FireWire) port or USB2.0 port and can write both plus and minus formats. It even supports Mac 9.1 or above OS. Plextor is offering both a one-year full warranty on parts and labor and unlimited technical support to help users get the most out of their investment. 

The Plextor PX-708UF features technology such as lossless linking and zero link technology, Buffer Underrun Proof
Technology and PoweRec (Plextor Optimized Writing Error Reduction Control) technology. 

Its dimensions are 7.24 in x 2.05 in x 10.43 in (W/H/D) and weigh 4.41lbs. Software that comes with Plextor PX-708UF includes Roxio Easy CD & DVD Creator 6 and PhotoSuite 5 SE, Roxio Drag-to-Disc, Dantz Retrospect and Roxio Toast 5 Lite (Mac OS 9.1 or above).
