BMTC Mobile App Awarded ‘People’s Choice Award at GMASA 2016

• Actress Sanjana Galrani bags ‘Celebrity Social Media Icon-2016’ award
• SHAREit, MakeMy Trip, Airtel Wynk and Sports Keeda bag awards at the conclave

The Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Service (BMTC) was awarded the ‘People’s Choice Award’ at Global Mobile App Summit (GMASA 2016). The award was received by V S Aradhya, Vice Chairman of BMTC. GMASA was a 2 day App conclave, conducted by Apps World Magazine,That brought all players of thee App ecosystem on a single platform.

GMASA has 19 interesting categories under which the app developers were awarded for their applications. The categories varied from apps developed for entertainment, education, lifestyle, media & video, news, medical, music, games, social media apps. The awards were presented on the final day of the conclave

Leading South Indian Actress, Sanjana Galrani was awarded the ‘Celebrity Social Media Icon – 2016’. While ‘SHAREit’ won the award in the Tools & Utilities category. ‘The Best Social Impact App’ award was given to Dr. Vijay Sankeshwar, Chairman of VRL group for the app ‘Missed Person’.  The award in the category of Travel was given to ‘MakeMy Trip’ while Airtel’s Wynk Music bagged the award in the Music Category.

Live score app ‘SportsKeeda’ won the best app award in the sports category and BUJU’S bagged the award for the best app in the education category. The award in Payment Solution category was bagged by Payoneer.
