Network Solutions registered agency revenues of Rs 66 crore during the fiscal 2001-02, which was a replication of its last year's performance. However, this is quite an achievement, considering that the company used to have a large clientele in the IT sector, which was badly affected last year.
On another count too, it has been a good year for Network Solutions. Not only did it beat the recession, but it also built on its integration business, following the acquisition of its consulting and software group by Intel. It also managed to retain its #29 ranking this year in the Next 25 Group.
It made appreciable gains in banking and finance and telecom and ISP sectors, which accounted for 46 percent of its total revenues, with major contracts coming from banks like ICICI, IDBI and Global Trust. The IT sector contributed about 47 percent share.
Network Solution´s positioning as an independent enterprise-wide network and systems integrator, offering both consultancy and integration services, also paid-off. The company is expected to further leverage on these areas and bring gains owing to its well-proven understanding of mission-critical environment and their requirements.
