CNet’s 5-port Ethernet switch

CNet Technology Inc has launched 5-port fast Ethernet switch called

PowerSWITCH CNSH-500. This switch incorporates five 100 Mbps ports, all

incorporating the N-way auto-negotiation standard. Auto-negotiation lets

CNSH-500 automatically detect the line speed of the attached device and set its

own data transmission rate accordingly.

The switch is capable of setting speeds from 10 Mbps to 200 Mbps without any

user intervention. Each port is equipped with a shielded RJ-45 receptacle for

extra EMI protection. Front panel LEDs clearly show link, traffic and collision

status on each port.

The CNSH-500 fully complies with the IEEE 802.3u standard for 100 Mbps Fast

Ethernet local area networks.
