'We are concentrating on strengthening units', says AKITDA president LIJU P.R.

AKITDA (All Kerala IT Dealers Association) is an association of the dealers doing the sales and service of computers and related IT products and services in the Kerala.  It started in the year 2004 in Ernakulam district as on organization for the IT dealers in the district. It is founded as a non profit organization for the welfare of IT dealer the membership provides opportunity to IT dealers for enhancing their professional skills and smoothing their business with IT Product vendors through different channels of activities. So that they can be successful and enhance themselves.

James Joseph, former president of the association said, “It is an organization where every 3 month we select a member consisting of 20/1. In each team we have secretary and a council; we are there present in 14 districts.”

The present president LIJU P.R. Said, “As president of AKITDA I feel so proud and blessed with all the IT dealers and vendors supports. This year (2015) we will be concentrating on strengthening units. We are planning activities like exhibitions, trainings, welfare society, unified service policies etc.” Joseph said, “As an association we are like a family and so various events like New Year events, state festivals, award ceremony and other festivals we do where all the members from our association comes together as a family and celebrate. With this we also stand for various moments like online purchasing, bandh and protests.”

AKITDA have different cells that do various kinds of work such as State Executive, IT cells and other association working towards helping the IT dealers and members. To that they Joseph said, “Every unit looks after their members and any problems that happens they stands for it.” AKITDA also look into that the members have insurance and any problems that they and their family faced AKITDA looks into it and try to help. Not only that they have many awards ceremonies where major brands also join them and make the events success. AKITDA have a control panel and also a complaint cell where anybody facing any issues can go there and rise a compliant relating any issue and they look into it.  They also have sports events which happen with the different members from their associations and all the IT members in the group joins together and play it making it a bid success.
