EPS founder honoured as ‘Champion’ by ATM Industry Association

EPS Founder, Mani Mamallan was honoured as “International ATM Industry Champion” by the globally acclaimed body ATMIA (ATM Industry Association) India chapter.

Electronic Payment and Services created yet another milestone when EPS Founder, Mani Mamallan was honoured as “International ATM Industry Champion” by the globally acclaimed body ATMIA (ATM Industry Association) India chapter. Mamallan received this award in the same league as Honorary Champion James Shepherd-Barron, son of the ATM inventor John Shepherd-Barron and other ATM Champions. The ATM Industry association recognize the achievements of the leading contributors on the basis of creativity, quality, expertise in delivering ATM solutions, and commitment to customer service.

Considered as the pioneer of the retail banking & payments domain, Mani Mamallan’s former industry responsibilities had been as a Founding Member & Director of Confederation of ATM Industry (CATMi); (a registered non-profit trade association aimed at solely representing and protecting the interests of the Indian ATM Industry). He is also on the regional board (India chapter) of the renowned ATM Industry Association (ATMIA), and an active member of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Payments Council of India (PCI), Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI) and an advisor on the National Advisory Committee (NAC) of IBEX India.

Headquartered in Mumbai, EPS manages and operates ATMs of most of the leading public sector banks in India. The organisation specialises in ATM outsourcing and centralised managed services, with over 5000 ATM deployed across the nation. In order to be extremely efficient, EPS conducts intense market research to locate an area that would be most accessible to the general population. This is based on an evaluation of where the highest footfall is anticipated, ensuring that the ATM machines have the highest transactions.

Speaking on the occasion, Mani Mamallan, said “I am humbled upon receiving such a coveted award. This award is an ode to our efforts of working towards improving the payments infrastructure development and making financial services more accessible, particularly the unbanked population which accounts for about 40%. At EPS, we efficiently work towards backing India's central mission under PMJDY further enhancing banking services. I would once again like to thank the ATM Industry Association for bestowing such an honour upon me.”
