Intelligroup launches new version of SAP upgrade tool  

Intelligroup Asia Pvt Ltd, a provider of application implementation and

offshore software development and support services, introduced the updated and

enhanced version of the popular UptimizerSM Service for automated sizing and

analysis of SAP upgrade projects.

Intelligroup has delivered this service to over 100 customers worldwide

including Lockheed Martin, Whirlpool, Tennant and Valero Energy Corporation. The

Uptimizer Service is available to all SAP R/3 customers who are upgrading from

version 3.0C upwards to any generally available version.

The powerful new version of the Uptimizer Service performs a pre-upgrade

assessment across the development, Basis and functional areas of an SAP R/3

system. The Uptimizer Service, during the assessment, simulates the upgraded SAP

environment in the existing system to identify and categorize custom-developed

objects, and determines the number, type and source for potential upgrade

errors.

The Uptimizer Service will also recommend ABAP best coding practices for

custom-developed code, identify active modules and business functionality

impacted by the upgrade, classify authorization objects and active/inactive

security profiles and provide links to convert profiles to roles. As a customer

executes an upgrade, the Uptimizer Service workbench capabilities speed up the

repair process on the impacted objects.
