Micromax appoints Sen as chief marketing officer

Mobile vendor Micromax has appointed Shubhajit Sen as chief marketing officer (CMO).

His appointment seeks to boost its marketing efforts as it looks to further improve its position in the surging smartphone market in the country.

Sen will be leading all marketing efforts for the company across markets while strengthening the overall brand communication.

Sen is an economics graduate from Delhi University and holds a postgraduate diploma in management (PGDM) from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIM-A).

Sen had started his career in 1992 with Glaxo Smith Kline (GSK) as a management trainee and advanced through the organization. He has rich experience of 21 years with GSK in both national and global operations.

Prior to this appointment, he was the executive vice president, marketing of GSK.
