The railway minister Suresh Prabhu announced the budget for 2015-2016 on Thursday, Feb 26, 2015.

Prabhu announced no new trains in his Railway Budget today. A Major announcement he made was that there will be no increase in passenger fares.

• Cashflows to fund Rs 17,739 crore in FY16 spending
• Announced a proposal to invest Rs 1.93 lakh crore on network expansion; Rs 1.27 lakh crore on safety
