30. Sejutronics: Loyalty Brings Prosperity

For a company, which distributes just one brand, that too only in Mumbai, recording revenues of 65 crore is no mean task. Add to this an impressive 85 percent growth in FY 2000-01 over FY 1999-00 and one wouldn't be surprised to see Sejutronics placed among many other big-time players in the Next 25. 

Sejutronics, D-Link's exclusive distributor, has recorded an envious growth at a time when good margins where hard to come by. Its agency revenue for fiscal 1999-00 was just Rs 35 crore. Prakash Mody, Partner, Sejutronics says, "Its the good service, prompt delivery and immediate solutions offered by our technical team, which has ensured such a healthy growth for the company."

Last year was also eventful for Sejutronics as it successfully implemented a Rs 55 lakh structure cabling and networking project for IIT, Powai. It also recorded huge sales of managed switches and digital cameras. It even joined hands with systems integrators and appointed five resellers.

While networking and Internet products contributed to 80 percent of its agency revenues, switches sold very well among SMEs and large enterprises. Also, products like leased line modems, motherboards and digital cameras, which were launched last fiscal, received a good response. 

Though Prakash admits that their company has not remained untouched by the slowdown, he is confident of eating up into competitors' market. He plans to do this by offering newer products and better services. 

He also foresees a major growth in the sales of leased line modems, structured cabling products, switches and motherboards in the present fiscal. With a large number of wireless, networking and digital home products under its portfolio, Sejutronics is determined to make rapid growth in SOHO, SMEs, large enterprises and government sectors.
