Shimla IT Dealers Association was formed in 2017. It has been 16 years of active contribution of this association in the IT sector business, especially in Himachal and in Shimla.

It is important for such an organisation to be active in Shimla, as Shimla is close to Delhi and it is the nodal central for the higher ranges of Himchal. Himachal and Shimla are important tourist hubs where visitors from all over the world come. They need good access to internet, equipment for the internet access and good computers while travelling. Besides, various governments are taking initiatives to provide IT capabilities to the schools, colleges and to the various government departments. It is important that the dealers are capable of reaching these institutions in time to provide them with the necessary IT product and services.

An association such as SITDA plays an important role in procuring the IT products and supplying them in Shimla and in Himachal and in arranging post-sales operations and services there. Hence, the activities of SITDA are very important for the IT industry.
