Back then, the search giant announced that the jacket will be available in Spring 2017. And the company has now announced that the smart jacket will be available soon. Priced at $350 (around Rs 23,390), the smart piece of clothing has been developed by Google's Advanced Technology and Projects (ATAP) division.

Dubbed 'Commuter Trucker Jacket', the Commuter x Jacquard is aimed at cyclists who are too busy riding and concentrating on their surroundings to reach into their pockets and use their phones.

Levi's Commuter x Jacquard comes with a gesture sensor and sleeve tag to stay connected with the help of touch interactions. Users can tap, swipe or hold on the left cuff to carry out various tasks such as changing music tracks, blocking/answering calls or accessing navigation information, as well as nearby places that are transmitted through voice.

The jacket tag is flexible and features a USB connector for charging. Users can also remove the tag from the jacket and wash it like other piece of clothing. The snap button installed on the jacket has a haptic motor for vibration feedback. There is also an LED light, which glows to direct the user at the time of travelling.
