When and how did you move to Cloud Business?

We wanted to create a better education system which is focused on practical skills and provides space for students to experiment and experience learning. We found the solution on the cloud as-is accessible anywhere and anytime for the students.

What are the different Cloud services do you offer?

PlatiFi offers 2 products:

  1. Experiential Learning Framework for the Education sector
  2. Optiflex Cloud Platform for SME/Corporate sector
  3. What sort of changes have you done to move to the cloud within the organisation in terms of Team, skill set, infrastructure, and others?

PlatiFi Platform can host enterprise-grade software applications from third-party software vendors as well as software applications developed in-house and make these software applications accessible to the Students and Faculty in the Educational Institutes on any browser-enabled devices, anytime, anywhere, on a pay as you grow commercial model basis. This helps in removing the barrier of physical lab infrastructure leading to the creation of a virtual lab on a massive scale, resiliency, and redundancy on a 24/7 basis.

How your old and new customers adopting the new technology and moving to the cloud?

We have seen a drastic change in the mindset of faculties when it comes to moving the academics to the online platform. Post pandemic situation people have realized how effective cloud technology can get for education.

How many customers you have, who are taking Cloud solutions and what are their different verticals?

We are having very good traction in the acquisition of customers like BITS Pilani, IIT Bombay, IIT Kanpur, SOIL Management School Gurgaon ISB Hyderabad, Amrita University, RICS – Amity University. We are also in discussion with MHRD, AICTE and a few State Governments for deploying our solutions in various engineering colleges in order to ensure adequate practice-based learning to the students and make them acceptable for employment by the Industry.

What are the different challenges did you face in this journey?

Challenges in implementing such experiential learning solution include:

  • Poor ICT Infrastructure and its Ineffective use
  • Lack of scalability of ICT resources for a large and growing number of students
  • Lack of equal opportunities to students (digital divide) from various backgrounds and locations
  • Lack of opportunities for practical and experiential resource access
  • Wastage of costly and limited resources due to lack of intelligence in scheduling for student users
  • Shortage of staff trained in the technical aspects of effective Cloud utilization

What are your future goals?

PlatiFi’s Experiential Learning Framework want to be the one-stop solution provides access to virtual labs and remote labs for participating educational institutions. ELF helps these institutions enhance their pedagogy with a view to foster experiential learning, incurring optimal costs while leveraging the best-in-class application of technology.

We want to create a revolution in the education system which provides us with more skilled and industry-ready youth for the Nation.
