Dell Technologies at CES 2026: laptops, gaming and displays
Dell Technologies at CES 2026 outlined a broad refresh of its consumer and gaming portfolio, marking the return of the XPS brand, a major expansion of Alienware systems and the launch of new UltraSharp monitors aimed at professional users. The announcements signal a renewed focus on form factor redesign, wider price accessibility and differentiated display technologies.
XPS laptops return with new designs and price points
Dell is reintroducing XPS laptops with redesigned hardware and new configurations. The XPS 14 and XPS 16 feature slimmer CNC-machined aluminium chassis, updated interfaces and OLED display options. These systems are positioned as Dell’s thinnest laptops to date, with reduced weight compared to previous generations.
Battery life is a central focus, with Dell claiming extended video playback times across both models. Performance is driven by Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors with integrated Intel Arc graphics.
Later in the year, Dell plans to expand the lineup further with additional form factors and pricing tiers, including the return of the XPS 13. The company positions this upcoming model as its most accessible XPS system so far.
Alienware broadens gaming portfolio
Alienware is expanding its hardware range to reach a wider gaming audience. The brand plans to introduce two new laptop categories: an ultra-slim gaming system focused on portability and a lower-priced entry model aimed at new and casual gamers.
New Alienware laptops will feature anti-glare OLED displays, addressing visibility concerns across different lighting conditions. Select systems will run on Intel Core Ultra 200HX processors, while the Alienware Area-51 desktop adopts AMD Ryzen 9000X3D processors with 3D V-Cache technology.
The expansion effectively doubles Alienware’s notebook lineup, reflecting a shift toward covering more price segments within the gaming market.
UltraSharp monitors target professional workloads
Dell also introduced two UltraSharp monitors designed for professional users. The UltraSharp 52 Thunderbolt Hub Monitor is a 52-inch 6K display, positioned as a single-screen alternative for users requiring extensive screen real estate.
Alongside it, Dell unveiled the UltraSharp 32 4K QD-OLED monitor, which incorporates anti-glare and low-reflectance technologies. The display is aimed at creative professionals seeking consistent colour accuracy across varied environments.
A broader consumer and gaming strategy
Taken together, the announcements at CES point to a strategy focused on redesigning core product lines while expanding reach across consumer, gaming and professional segments. Dell Technologies at CES 2026 emphasised portfolio breadth rather than isolated flagship launches, signalling a shift toward covering more use cases across price and performance tiers.
